OK, it’s been long enough. I can’t take it anymore. I can’t look at that last entry any longer.

Merry Christmas To All

From all of us at ATAW to all of you out there where ever you are, we wish every one a very safe & Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

It’s been a long, hard year for every one in Cardinal Nation. Easily the worst year we’ve ever had. We’ve lost family members like Josh Hancock & my dad. We’ve lost favorite players to injuries, free agency & trades. Not to mention all the games the Cards lost during the season & finishing under .500 for the first time in years.

Yet we still have so much to be thankful for. For one, ATAW added Nate Dogg to the fold. Yes we Cardinal fans are a blessed bunch, and that’s what I hope every one thinks about today & in the coming weeks. It’s true 2007 sucked hard core on so many levels. But it’s almost over, so try & look on the bright side. 2008 won’t even be half as bad as 07 was to us. It can’t be right? Lord I hope not.

So unless MO pulls off the trade of the century this is the final entry for 2007. So long 2007. May we never have another year half as bad as you.

Till next year this is Jonny Bone reminding every one, yes, even you. That the light at the end of the tunnel may be you.

Merry Christmas To All, And To All, A Good Night Now!!

Always keep makin it bounce,

Things have been pretty slow here at ATAW this off season. The Cards did hire MO as GM after being jerked around by the Indians assistant GM Chris Antonetti. And believe me I had been working on a big ole entry about it, I just could not finish it. I’ve been going through an epic case of writers block. It’s old news now so I guess there’s no point in finishing it. Things should pick up soon with the winter meetings coming up. MO is dead set on getting some top of the rotation help & a new SS. Let’s just say we here at ATAW are not holding our breath. It’s not that we don’t have faith in MO, we do. But for the past few years the Cards always say they will make a big splash in the free agent market place or via trade, but they never do. So until that happens, we’ll just say to MO, talk is cheap. Don’t let your mouth write checks the team can’t cash.

Lastly a bit of good news to tell. HUGE & Mrs. HUGE welcomed into the world their first child early Saturday morning. In typical family tradition the little fella was late, but as our Grandma used to say, it does not matter if you’re late, all that matters is you got here. So join me in welcoming to the ATAW family, the future All Star, power hitting, switch hitting, 5 tool corner outfielder of your St. Louis Cardinals, NATE DOGG. Look for him to make his appearance at Busch III in about twenty years. Both NATE DOGG & Mrs. HUGE are doing well. They got to go home Monday afternoon. So don’t expect to hear from HUGE for a while. Dude’s got his hands full trying to teach NATE DOGG the infield fly rule.

Well that’s it for now. IF & when the Cards make a move I’ll be back here to tell you what to think about it. So till next time this in Jonny Bone reminding every one, yes even you. That the light at then end of the tunnel may be you.

Always keep makin bounce.

Same Old Song & Dance

Hi every body! Once Bill Dewitt fired Walt Jocketty nap time was officially over. So here are some random thoughts about the Cardinals & other things while I watch Game 4 of the NLCS.
